Enchanted - Impressionistic Landscape Painting

Enchanted is a stunning Blue Mountains landscape painting featuring a vibrant colour palette, mixing warm oranges and browns with complementary purple shadows. I used acrylic paint for this large painting with mesmerising colours because I wanted to apply lots of layers so the quick-drying nature of acrylic paint was the perfect choice. I love to paint! I learnt to draw at a young age, but once I started to understand the principles and techniques of painting, I was moved to another level of appreciation and anticipation. I took the reference photo for this painting while hiking around Jenolan Caves bushland. I have painted an oil painting using the same reference photo, although the oil painting is deeply entrenched in the semi-abstract genre whilst I used an impressionistic approach for this one.
