meet your teacher!
Hello, my name is Stuart Ian Currie, and I am the principal instructor at CVIISUAL ART STUDIO. I believe that anyone can learn to draw and paint with the right guidance, encouragement and practice.
As a practising artist, I have spent decades developing my skills across drawing, watercolour, acrylic and oil painting. My artistic training includes formal studies in Visual Arts through TAFE NSW and the University of New South Wales, as well as private instruction in traditional oil painting techniques.
My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students can progress at their own pace, build confidence and enjoy the creative process. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to art after many years away, I provide practical demonstrations, individual guidance and constructive feedback tailored to your experience level.

Great artists have always understood that painting is both discipline and emotion.
– something we continue to explore in our own studio practice.
