meet your teacher!
Hello, my name is Stuart Ian Currie, and I am the principal instructor at CVIISUAL ART STUDIO.
Art has been a lifelong passion, and I have spent decades developing my skills as a practising artist across drawing, watercolour, acrylic and oil painting. Along the way, I have also received private training in traditional oil painting techniques and completed formal studies in Visual Arts through both TAFE NSW and the UNI NSW.
My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace, build confidence, and enjoy the creative process. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to improve your existing skills, I will guide you step-by-step with practical demonstrations and individual feedback.

Great artists have always understood that painting is both discipline and emotion.
– something we continue to explore in our own studio practice.
